While there are plenty of products on the market that use inferior imported CBD oils we only use the highest grade domestically grown Hemp plants. Our quality control process starts even before the plants go into the ground. We spent over a year searching for the best farmers in Colorado that are familiar with Cannabis and Hemp genotypes and resulting phenotypes. After identifying which combination of strains would provide the highest level of CBD potency these plants were crossbred to give us the CBD that is currently used in all Hempxtra products. We then use a Co2 extraction process to provide the cleanest plant extraction in the industry. But it doesn’t stop there. Unlike most companies that use the old-school way of flavoring their product by using a VG or PG based flavor, Hempxtra creates all of our flavors naturally. We have searched out the highest quality essential oils in the world as well as the highest quality carrier oils. What most companies don’t understand is that you can have a great raw CBD oil but if it is not delivered into your system correctly it will not work effectively. Projected Growth of CBD
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the part of the cannabis plant that doesn’t get you “high” like the THC side of the plant. It is typically used for health reasons instead of for recreational purposes. The CBD products are either derived from industrial hemp plants or marijuana plants.
The Hemp Business Journal estimated that the CBD market will grow to a $2.1 billion market in consumer sales by 2020 with $450 million of those sales coming from hemp-based sources. That’s a 700% increase from 2016. In 2015, the market for consumer sales of hemp-derived CBD products was $90 million, plus another $112 million in marijuana-derived CBD products which were sold through dispensaries – bringing a total CBD market to $202 million last year.

Import vs Domestic:
For quite some time the United States wouldn’t allow Industrial Hemp to be grown on domestic soil, it did however allow for imported CBD and hemp products to be imported from overseas.
The problem with the imported CBD products is that in order to get to the US customer, the foreign companies are forced to only use stalk and stem extraction. The stalks and stems of the cannabis plant have very little CBD in them, most of the CBD is in the flower of the plant, which they are forbidden to use.
